On Sunday, the Launceston Male Choir held its annual charity concert.
More than 100 people attended the concert at the Launceston Salvation Army auditorium.
A special guest choir, the Launceston School for Seniors Choir, also performed on the day.
Choir president Peter Hunt said the concert was very well attended by the Launceston community.
Mr Hunt said funds raised from the concert will be donated to the Rural Relief Fund, which provides funding for Australian farming families affected by drought.
“It’s a very current situation, and we’ve got a couple of farmers in the choir,” he said.
He estimated the funds raised was in the thousands.
The Launceston Male Choir formed in 1935 and went into recess from late 1936, but have now met continuously for the past 70 years.
The choir practices on Tuesday evenings in the rooms behind Milton Hall.
To join, contact Mr Hunt on 0419 337 763 or choir secretary David Lewis on 0409 180 624.
