Launceston General Hospital lost its emergency department accreditation in March, with its lack of permanent emergency specialists cited as one factor.
“They wanted to see more specialists and we’ve made wonderful progress on that,” Mr Ferguson said.
“I’ve got more to say about [a neurologist] in the near future, but the recruitment has been very positive.”
