Flinders council is set for a shake up with only three of seven incumbents recontesting positions in the 2018 local government elections.

Councillors Chris Rhodes and David Williams are both running for the position for deputy mayor, while Peter Rhodes is standing for mayor.
Flinders mayor Carol Cox, who has held the position for the past 11 years, is not standing for reelection.
Councillors Gerald Willis, Ken Stockman and current deputy mayor Marc Cobham are also not recontesting their positions.
A total of 10 candidates were announced on Tuesday, including new runners Annabel Apps, Sharon Blyth, Aaron Burke, Vanessa Grace, Anne Revie, Rachel Summers and Mick Rose.
Ms Revie is running for mayor, alongside Cr Peter Rhodes.
Ms Blyth and Ms Summers are also running for the position of deputy mayor, alongside Cr Chris Rhodes and Cr Williams.

Cr Chris Rhodes, who was first elected in 2014, said it was time for stability for the Flinders council.
“We have a new general manager who I think is pointing us in the right direction,” he said.
“It’s not the right time for a shake up, but it’s what we could get.
“I don’t believe these all in, all out campaigns are a good thing for stability.
“In fact I think their is potential for catastrophe.”
In the 2014 local government elections, Flinders Island had the highest voter participation for the North, with more than 80 per cent of enrolled electors voting and only had one vote returned late.
The Flinders council appointed new general manager Bill Boehm in November 2016, replacing Raoul Harper, who was dismissed by the council in July.
