The burn will take place as part of a statewide Fuel Reduction Program aimed at reducing bushfire risks.
The burn will take place from Tuesday, September 25.
The total burn area will be about 50 hectares, and will take two to three days to complete depending on wind conditions.
Public access to this area will be restricted, and the public is asked to remain out of the burn area during the process and for following days and until safety checks have been made along tracks and trails.
The fire intensity will be low, but will generate smoke, flames, and ash. Those with medical conditions are advised to have a personal plan for avoiding smoke from the burn.
Air quality information is available at the Asthma Tasmania website or through the Environmental Protection Authority.
Further information about the burn is available by contacting Tasmania Fire Service on 1800 000 699 or emailing fru@fire.tas.gov.au.
