Justice minister Elise Archer said the work would be worth more than $500,000 and would involve upgrades to the correctional cell area, work spaces, office accommodation, and staff amenities.
The upgrade would also improve safety and security, including CCTV and fire safety systems.
“Amenities for staff will also be improved, providing a modern working environment,” she said.
“Work is expected to be completed during the summer recess, ready for next year’s Court sittings,” Ms Archer said.
