The 12.10 (82) to 5.7 (37) victory was set up with four first-quarter goals into the wind, and secured a second-consecutive unbeaten season for the Country Tigers.
Coach Rob Moore, who will stay on for a shot at a fourth-straight flag next season, said his team had winners all over the ground.
“It’s a different group of boys this year, we probably still had six or eight from last year who stepped up and led the way for us, and our under-16s that came through did a great job,” Moore said.
“From the outside some people think you’ve had an easy run but it certainly hasn’t been easy - we’ve had a lot of hard games and South has been our challenger all year.”
Moore’s son Kobe won the David Marshall medal for best on ground, while Joel Lloyd led the Country Tigers’ defence expertly.
Jake Williams was a constant threat up forward with four goals and Michael Larby won his fair share of ruck battles.
Moore said signs were promising that the Country Tigers would be a similarly threatening prospect next season.
“We’ll lose eight or 10 that’ll go up, but we’ll keep a good bunch from this year and we’ve got a lot of good under-16s coming through who won their grand final this year.
“We’ll come back and try to win it again.”
