South Launceston has been backed as the overwhelming favourite, with coach Leigh Harding and goalkicking mid Jordan Tepper deemed most likely to win the Clarrie Boon medal.
SCOTTSDALE – Geoff Mohr
Tip: Bulldogs by 25
Medal: Leigh Harding
“They’ve been the best team all year – they’re the only team we haven’t beaten all year so from that point of view they’re the best. They’ve got a good mix of young blokes and old blokes and they’re a well-drilled side.”
HILLWOOD – Nathan Lowe
Tip: Bulldogs by 34
Medal: Leigh Harding
“I just think they’ve got a really good balance compared to everyone else right across the board. They’re a really good experienced side. Depending on what the weather’s doing it might make it a bit closer but I think it’s South’s for the taking.”
LONGFORD – Beau Thorp
Tip: Bulldogs by 30
Medal: Jordan Tepper
The bigger ground will suit South’s run and spread – especially from stoppages. The game style South Launny like to play could bust them open late in the game.”
BRIDGENORTH – Brady Demeijer
Tip: Bulldogs by 32
Medal: Jordan Tepper
“Bracknell will bring their hardness to the footy but South’s gamestyle – especially on the larger ground at Windsor – will show out to be too much.”
ROCHERLEA – Lyndon Stubbs
Tip: Bulldogs by 36
Medal: Jade Child
“I think they have too much speed and class on the outside and that’s where South will win it.”
DELORAINE – Brad Powe
Tip: Bulldogs by 40
Medal: Leigh Harding
“They’ve been the strongest team all year and I think they’ll just go on with it.”
GEORGE TOWN – Allan O’Sign
Tip: Bulldogs by 38
Medal: Ben Webb
“I just think they trust and are predictable to each other, they believe in their systems and in big games that’s everything. If Bracknell can tweak a few things I think they can definitely compete with them and I don’t believe the big ground worries Bracknell at all either.”
