Abs Boy was backed with $41 to $9.50 with Ubet fixed odds and was even longer with other operators.
Brighton owner-trainer Greg Scott said he got $51 with Sportsbet on Friday morning.
Scott said that, despite the long odds, he gave Abs Boy a good chance as his lead-up form was “far better than it looked on paper.”
“He’s got a bit of ability – he’s been beaten a metre going 1:58,” the trainer said.
”But he’s only got a short sprint.
“Mark has had two drives on him for two wins and he gave him a beautiful run tonight – you couldn’t ask for better.”
Yole gave Abs Boy a nice trail behind one of his main dangers, To The Rescue, and they had the race between them turning for home.
To The Rescue kicked on strongly but Abs Boy eventually got the better of him to score by a neck.
Scott bought Abs Boy for only $1000 as a yearling and the five-year-old now has three wins and eight placings from 41 starts.
“He’s the best of the eight horses I’ve got in work,” the trainer said.
“I’ve got another one that goes good but I’m having a few problems with him at the moment.”
Abs Boy gave Yole two wins in the first two races, to go with his four wins from seven drives in Hobart last Sunday.
He won the opening race on odds-on favourite Mornings for his brother Ben.
“She is quite a nice filly but she’s still learning,” the driver said.
“I think she was doing a bit wrong when she was racing in Victoria but Ben sorted her out and now she’s going beautifully.
“She has a nice future.”
Mornings led all the way to score by 16m and maintain her unbeaten record in three Tasmanian starts.
“The others were nowhere near her so I didn’t really need to pull the plugs but I did half way up the straight just to make sure she found the line,” Yole said.
“She waits for them a bit when she’s in front.”
Yole finished the meeting with another four-win haul.
He won the Claimer on the fast-finishing Im Barney Rubble, another member of the Ben Yole team, then led the way on the Adam Emery-trained Ten Caisses in the Trotters Discretionary.
Brighton trainer Bianca Heenan was another to continue her good recent form when Jacks Command led all the way in the C3/C4 Pace.
It was his first win in eight local starts and Samantha Gangell was his eighth different driver.
