Writer and comedian Becky Lucas will perform as part of Fresh Comedy next Friday, three weeks after appearing at the history-making festival.
She said the sense of community was strong at the St Helens Football Ground.
“It was interesting to see how they reacted to the jokes, because most of them knew each other,” she said.
“Some of them seemed to pull back on laughing, because they didn’t want to reveal too much about themselves.”
When she is not touring, Lucas is lending her unique sense of humour to the scripts of popular Australian comedy shows. As a writer, her credits include co-writing for Matt Okine's semi-autobiographical comedy The Other Guy, as well as Josh Thomas’s Emmy-nominated show, Please Like Me.
Becky Lucas will perform at the Royal Oak Hotel from 8.30pm on Friday, September 21. Tickets from trybooking.com/XIZQ
