Murray Mandel has already donated $37,742.82 for Lifeline, and he’s just getting started.
The classical guitarist will visit more than150 destinations around Australia as part of the tour.
He will play at Woolworths Kings Meadows on September 15 and 16, Prospect Vale Marketplace on September 17 and 18, and Burnie Plaza on September 21 and 22, performing from 10am until 2.30pm on each date.
Mandel’s endeavors mean that he’s living out of a caravan for three years.
However, he said he knows that the money raised for the charity will be worth the sacrifice.
“I’m doing this out of a sense of compassion,” he said.
“Over many years we have seen that Lifeline has been so beneficial to so many Australians experiencing deep, personal crises.
“During my performances for the past 18 months I have had numerous individuals who had phoned Lifeline approach me and express to me their satisfaction with Lifeline’s advice, assistance, support and care.
“Several of them even mentioned to me that Lifeline has saved their lives.”
Mandel’s tour runs Australia-wide between March 6, 2017 and March 9, 2020.
