Playing South Launceston’s under-12s in an NTFA division 2 grand final curtain-raiser, the TVML recorded its third-straight representative match win with a 10-goal victory at Windsor Park.
However, match co-ordinator Marcus Byard said being able to showcase the league’s talent was the most pleasing outcome of the day.
“It’s a good tradition to have at the end of the year, the ones lucky enough to make the squad look forward to it,” Byard said.
“They’re from five separate clubs, but from within the first couple of training runs we weren’t five, we were one and it really carried through.
“All three years they’ve done that and they’ve all formed ranks together, it was fantastic to see.”
Byard thanked the umpires and coaching staff for giving up their time to facilitate the match.
