On Monday Tasmania Police said a torso found near Myrtle Park had been formally identified as Jake Anderson-Brettner, who went missing on August 15.
Police continue to investigate the 24-year-old’s death.
“The investigation does have links interstate and Tasmania Police will continue to engage with other state police jurisdictions as part of our investigation,” Detective acting Inspector Fox said.
The funeral will be held on September 13 at the Tailrace Centre at 2pm.
Two people have been charged in relation to the death of Mr Anderson-Brettner.
Jack Harrison Sadler, 26, of Riverside, was charged with murder, but is yet to enter a plea.
He will appear again on September 11.
Gemma Clark, 25, of Riverside, pleaded not guilty to a charge of being an accessory after the fact.
She was committed to the Supreme Court for a directions hearing on October 15.
