The Deloraine Little Athletics Club’s season will commence on October 6 and to help celebrate, the club will host a ‘come and try’ day on September 25.

Club president Gina Sullivan said the event was designed to give people an idea of what to expect from the club, with a range of fun activities planned.
“Athletics is a great way to stay fit, but it also provides a chance to meet new people,” she said.
“It allows children to build their confidence and make some new friends. So the club is about more than just sport.”
Ms Sullivan said on the day, people would be able to have a go at a range of different sporting activities with no pressure to register.
The club, which was established more than 20 years ago, currently caters for children aged five to 14 and also offers a tiny tots program.
