The Northern Bombers finished the home and away season in fourth spot before going on to topple Lauderdale in the elimination final and rivals Clarence in last week’s qualifying final to advance.
Saturday’s preliminary final winner at Bellerive Oval will go on to face unbeaten Launceston, coached by Oli Cook, in next weekend decider at UTAS Stadium.
The Jade Selby-coached North will be reliant on big games from captain Nathan Jackson, ruckman Cody Lowe, young gun Oliver Sanders and players with senior experience such as Lochlan Young, Connor Pearton Kasey Curtis and Jack Mazengarb.
Glenorchy’s weapons include Mitch Walker, Jye Bearman, Brodie Rowbottom, Clinton French and Matt Dilger – all of whom have played in the State League in recent weeks.
The do-or-die encounter starts at 2.30pm.
