Agricultural shows throughout Tasmania can apply for funding to upgrade, maintain or construct new infrastructure.
Applications for the Agricultural Show Development Grants Program 2018-19 are open until October 19.
Community Development Minister Jacquie Petrusma said the government understood the importance of shows to rural and regional communities throughout the state.
“These grants will allow vital community infrastructure to be upgraded, ensuring these iconic community events remain relevant into the future,” she said.
“Tasmania is now a better place to live than ever before, and this supports our long-term plan to improve the lives of Tasmanians.”
Funding of up to $25,000 is available for eligible organisations to support the operation of an annual agricultural show and provide benefit to the society and the regional community.
Grants can be used to upgrade and maintain existing infrastructure or construct new infrastructure.
Guidelines and application forms are available from the Communities Tasmania website at www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr
