Dennis was one of two Scottsdale products to lay claim to the club’s major two annual awards this year.
Shannae Heazlewood was voted the 19-and-under best player for Cavaliers.
The State League netball club celebrated the awards during its end-of-the-season function with high tea at Peppers Silo Hotel on Saturday.
Dennis took out the open’s trophy ahead of an unlucky captain Kate Gibson.
It was the third successive year the goal attack has been runner-up after falling just behind Shelby Miller (2016) and Rachael Smith (2017).
But in the absence of Miller on state ANL duties during the first half of the year, the 25-year-old winner shook off a ruptured achilles and returned to blistering form.
“Lucy has really gone from strength to strength, taken every piece of feedback on board to get the best out of herself and the team,” coach Dannie Carstens said.
“She is a player that wears her heart on her sleeve and is so passionate about what she is doing. She throws herself at everything in defence and in attack she is constantly looking at ways to get the ball to circle edge. She has a huge motor out on court.”
Heazlewood took out her best and fairest award from midcourter Piper Sanders.
The vice-captain capped off a remarkable year, moving from centre court and defence into attack to cover the loss of multiple goalers and guide Cavs to the state title.
