This month he will bring the show to Longford.
Christ Church has nabbed the American finger-style guitarist for his only northern Tasmanian show before heading to the Museum of Old and New Art later in the month.
Jenny Williams, concert secretary at Christ Church Longford, said the concert was a real scoop.
“It’s absolutely fantastic to get somebody of such world renown here in Christ Church.”
“We got his bio and we knew that he was coming to Tasmania.”
“He said one show in the north and we said, well, we’ve got to grab this.”
“It’s not every day you get somebody like this come through.”
Gilewitz will play at Christ Church in Longford on Thursday, September 27.
The event starts at 7pm.
Tickets will be $25 at the door, or $20 for concessions.
