After finishing second, first and fourth on the first three stages, the Perth 23-year-old crossed the line 1:01 behind Grace Brown in day three’s 91.4km road race, breaking free from a bunch of 21 to secure another stage podium.

But the effort was not enough to overcome general classification winner Kate Perry, who had a 23-second gap on Jemma Eastwood, a 2:59 gap on Brown and a 3:54 gap on Baker in fourth. 

Baker did, however, take out the sprint classification with 38 points, seven clear of Ashlee Ankudinoff.

TIS rider Ruby Roseman-Gannon enjoyed another good stage on day three, securing 21^st place, while Devonport’s Anya Louw finished seven minutes off the pace. 

Lauren Perry did not complete the race. 

In the men’s race, 64 riders crossed the line in a bunch finish with Ben Van Dam (24th) and Oliver Martin (30th) the best-placed Tasmanians. 

TIS pair Zach Johnson and Conor Leahy finished 54^th and 55^th respectively.

Van Dam finished eighth in general classification, with Martin next best in 11^th.
