Police attempted to intercept the 23-year-old’s vehicle about 9.30am.
The vehicle was spiked on the East Tamar Highway at Dilston, but continued for several kilometres with two flat tyres.
The man was successfully intercepted at Newnham about 10am, after spikes deflated the remaining two tyres.
The man has been charged with reckless driving, driving while disqualified, aggravated evade, burglary and firearm offences.
He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
