Cavaliers have completed a remarkable record of participating in the final series in every one of their 22 State League netball seasons.
Its certainly in the back of our mind, Cavaliers coach Nicole Williams said.
For all of us, we want to do the club proud on Saturday.
The club is also aiming for its tenth premiership.
That comes after Cavaliers had won five successive titles from 2011 until 2015.
That is something no other club has been able to do too, Williams said.
So were really proud of our history and were hoping this week we can add to it.
Standing in their way is Cripps Waratah, who won the semi-final a fortnight earlier.
It was the second successive loss to the Hobart rival for Cavaliers within a month.
Williams firmly believes she has addressed any lingering issues responsible for her side falling short.
We have got together and watched the footage of each games, Williams said.
Weve learned so many lessons about our style of play things we need to tighten up on and what Cripps actually do. Thats certainly forming our gameplan.
Cripps certainly arent to be underestimated, as we are sort of going in as the underdogs because of those losses.
We know one of Cripps strongest points is their zone-style of defence and that has shaken us previously.
After utilising the ball their best all season in the preliminary final win, Williams feels Cavs are in a good place.
I think there is a really good energy and a really good vibe around the playing group for the game, she said.
