Family-owned Exeter business Shakers Takeaway is fundraising to support the mainland’s drought affected farmers.
Between August 9 and September 9, $1 from every pizza purchased at the store will be donated to Buy a Bale.
Shakers Takeaway’s Chantelle Davis said Exeter was only a small community and rural area. She wanted more people to know about the town’s efforts to fundraise.
“We understand how important the Australian farmers are to us and how much they contribute to our dinner tables each and every day,” she said.
Other businesses have also gotten involved.
The Exeter Hotel, Freelands IGA, Exeter Hair and Beauty, and Nigel's Gourmet on Tamar will all be displaying donation jars to support the cause.

- Shakers Takeaway is at 73 Main Road, Exeter.
