Athletes who braved the day were treated to a true cross country course with mud, water, cow pats and lost shoes making the day enjoyable for all.
Thank you to the Dalco family for the use of their property.
In the Division 1 race Jennifer Tait had her first win for the season, slipping past Jonathon Death in the final stages of the race to win by just two seconds.
Third was Marcus Butler just another three seconds behind.
In the Division 2, four-kilometre event, Sam Talbot was victorious for the second consecutive week showing he is in peak form ready for the nationals which are just around the corner.
Second was Rhodena Murfet with the talented young athlete Hamish Cook winding up for a big finish in the next couple of weeks.
The Division 3 race was won by scholarship recipient Abbey Berlese in fine style from a much-improved Bella Shaw and Isabella Davie, girl power for the first three placings with the Davie brothers not far behind.
Good luck to all our athletes off to the nationals at the end of the month.
Next run is at Greens Beach, starting with the 12-kilometre Division 1 course at 1pm.
Barbecue, lucky draws and afternoon tea post races.
