The Kings Meadows pharmacy held a ‘Flannie for a Farmer’ event on Thursday, raising more than $900 for charity Drought Angels.
Pharmacy assistant Kim McCarron said 14 staff members “got into the spirit of things” by dressing up and “boot scooting” and donated money, as did many customers.
“We’d been talking about doing something from what we’d been reading, and thought it would be a good cause to support,” she said.
“It was a nice vibe for the day.”
Epic Pharmacy staff are philanthropic, with regular fundraisers organised by staff member Jude Wilson to support many causes, like Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
“Hopefully it encourages others to do something too.”
