Lockhart, 22, has played every match mainly in defence with Casey Demons in 2018, after departing the Northern Bombers to try his hand at a higher level and will be joined by Lachie Gadomski (Tigers) and Matthew McGuinness (Lauderdale).
Meanwhile, North’s Rhyan Mansell will attend the state combine.
The Rookie Me Combine will be run at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on October 6.
Mature-age footballers aged 18-28 will have their physical capabilities tested with results of the top percentile to be then passed on to AFL recruiters.
Four fellow Tasmanians – Chayce Jones (Launceston), Tarryn Thomas (North Launceston), Nicholas Baker (Lauderdale) and Fraser Turner (Clarence) – have been selected to attend the national draft combine from October 2-5.
State combine hopefuls will be unveiled soon.
