TasWater say about 40 customers are affected by a burst water main in South Launceston.
It estimates the service will be returned about 7.30pm.
“Crews are onsite working to restore services as soon as possible,” TasWater said.
“Once water is restored, please run your tap until the water is clear to remove any sediment, cloudiness or air in the pipes. If you continue to experience discoloured water after running your tap, please contact us on 13 6992.”
TasWater apologises for any inconvenience caused.

TasWater is responding to a burst water main in South Launceston.
The main is burst between Lawrence Vale Road and Eastbourne Street.
TasWater is asking motorists to be careful when driving in the area.
It is unknown when the issues will be fixed, and if customers are without water.
The incident was first reported about 4.30pm on Monday.
