More than 100 tickets have been sold with less than a week until the event.
All funds raised from the event will be donated to four Launceston charities as part of the newspaper’s annual appeal.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Launceston Chamber of Commerce.
This year The Examiner is aiming to celebrate its 60th year of the appeal by raising $60,000.
More than $55,700 has already been raised.
In that time more than $3.5 million has been raised. The charities say the appeal is just as relevant today as it was 60 years ago.
The cocktail party will take place at Penny Royal from 6.30pm on August 10.
Tickets are available from Launceston Tickets or through the Launceston Chamber of Commerce on 6331 9364. Tickets cost $50 per person, or two for $90. The price includes nibbles and a drink on arrival.
