Gallery owner Shirley Rootes-Martin said that although the event was judged, it was really just a bit of fun for people who like puddings and good company.
“Bring a pudding to share, a pudding to be judged, nibbles, and drinks,” she said.
“It’s a big fun night for adults, a leisurely getting-together of like-minded people who enjoy sticky, sweet decadent puddings. Nothing’s taking seriously on the night.”
Between 20 and 60 people are expected to turn up at the event to put their sugary creations to the taste-test.
The puddings will be judged by last year’s winners along with Launceston-based chef Bryan Townend.
Head down to the cafe this Saturday, August 11, from 6.30pm, and RSVP by calling the Scottsdale Art Gallery Cafe on 6352 4388.
