The group was tasked to turn a church at Perth, constructed in 1879, into a house.
St Lukes was intended to “preserve the historic value of this heritage listed property for the enjoyment of future generations”.
Architects Sam Haberle and Josh Upston worked on the project which took a year to complete.
“It has been a childhood dream of mine to convert a church into home,” Haberle said. “My best mate beat me to it, but thanks to him I managed to create my dream in his house.”
S. Group’s brand and marketing manager Tara Howell said it was humbling to win the award because it was chosen by the public.
“It is essentially awarded by the public for what you do - we aim to please,” Ms Howell said.
