A 224-game Blue who also spent four years at Old Launcestonians, Savage has missed just one game since crossing to reigning grand finalist East Coast at the start of this year and will bring up his milestone against ladder-leader St Pats.

Savage praised his new teammates for giving him a new lease on life, and reflected that his goal as a youngster at Windsor Park had been to reach 100 games. 

“It’ll be something to look back on when I’ve finished, which obviously won’t be too far away, I’m just hanging on for dear life and trying to enjoy the ride,” Savage said. 

“The guys down there have been terrific, they’re young and a really exciting group of talented players - really good club people.

“I’ve really enjoyed this season so far and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Two-time grand finalist Bracknell appears set to apply for a premier league licence in the revamped NTFA following a club meeting on Wednesday evening. 

The new three-tier competition will begin next year and is likely to be headlined by a six-team premier league, which will require all sides to have or be linked to a junior program.

“Currently we play in the top division of the NTFA and that’s where we’re hoping to continue,” Bracknell secretary Nicole Jones said.
