The Dorset Council released the plans for the reconstruction on June 17.
The works will include kerbing, concrete footpaths, driveways, and pedestrian crossings, traffic calming, stormwater upgrades, and on and off-street parking.
Construction tendering for the project was completed in 2017/2018, and construction is expected to be undertaken in 2018/2019.
