Elie Roe-Daniel and Kasmyn Murfet have been dancing together since they were about four or five-years-old, and will now travel together to Scotland for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Roe-Daniel said she had been to Scotland before to compete in the world championships, and that herself and Murfet had performed Tattoos in Melbourne and Virginia in the US.
Murfet said she had also performed in Canada and Switzerland.
However, dance teacher Kim Roe said the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo was the ultimate experience for highland dancers.
“I think it’s special, because it’s two girls from Launceston who have been dancing together for a long time at the same dancing school,” she said.
“It’s just extra special. There’s only a couple of dancers from Australia going.”
The Tattoo will take place from August 3 to 25.
