King was the sole Tasmanian to make this year’s under-18 All-Australian squad of 48, which will play off against each other before the EJ Whitten Legends Game at the Adelaide Oval on August 31.

She had a splendid national championships, impressing recruiters early with her forward-midfield work.

“We have seen her continually develop and she is starting to improve her decision making,’’ Elder said.

“There is no doubt she can find it, and she has the pace and ball winning ability.

“But it’s the decision-making and the way she uses it that is the area of improvement for her, which has improved out of sight.”

King has been a representative regular in recent years and was named – along with new AFLW Kangaroos recruit Daria Bannister – a member of last season’s All-Australian side. She is eligible for the 2019 AFLW draft.
