Farmsafe Australia’s mission is to “improve the wellbeing and productivity of Australian agriculture through enhanced health and safety awareness and practices”.
Body members throughout Australia have committed to reduce the deaths and injuries associated with health and safety risks on farms, with business and industry working together to achieve this aim.
Government and other agencies also play important roles in supporting farmers to improve health and safety by identifying and defining common risks and their control, and the wider rural community can help by in developing a “safety culture”.
