Executive director Laura Banks will continue to support the board in an interim role while her position is filled, while newly-awarded life member Steve Quinn has relinquished his role.
Tasmanian Alkaloids managing director Doug Blackaby has taken on the role of interim president, with Jason Clark named interim vice-president.
The outgoing and incoming board members were thanked on Triathlon Tasmania’s Facebook page.
“There is no doubt Triathlon Tasmania, and the sport in general, is in a period of transition ... however we are excited about what the future holds and the many opportunities available for us,” the statement read.
“Doug and Jason bring a wealth of experience, both in the sport of triathlon and from their corporate backgrounds, and are looking forward to working closely with the triathlon community.”
