It won the Best Contemporary Music Festival prize for the second year in a row.
Mona Foma and the Sydney Festival, along with Grammy Award-winning Australian musician Gotye, were jointly recognised for staging the Best Australian Contemporary Concert.
Festival curator Brian Ritchie said it was “dizzying” to win the best festival award two years in a row.
“We’ve been nominated for Best Contemporary Music Festival four times and taken the award three of those times,” he said.
