A day after Rebecca Van Asch won another bowls tournament for Australia in Wales, Sarah Hawe mirrored the feat in rowing in Switzerland.
The Huon rower teamed up with Molly Goodman, Rosie Popa and Lucy Stephan to add another rowing world cup title to the world championship claimed last year.
The women’s four wrapped up their world cup season with another gold medal which also earned them the world rowing cup for their boat class in Lucerne.
Denmark pushed into an early lead before the world champion Australians upped their rating.
As Goodman had the crew stroking 42, they stormed to victory with Denmark finishing second and USA 2 third.
“Winning our last race before the world rowing championships is something we can really build on,” said Stephan, of Melbourne University Boat Club.
Tasmania’s other representative among the A-finals was Tamar’s Ciona Wilson who helped Australia’s women’s eight come fifth.
With the conclusion of the world rowing cup season, the Australian team will return home with the world championship team to be finalised this week.
