Support for the music event would include a financial contribution of up to $50,000 and waiving the hire fees of any council owned facilities used for the event.
Community services project officer Erica Lowry said the ABC would work with the council to put on the event, and would cover most concert production and broadcasting costs.
The council were asked to cover broader event costs such as ambulance and first aid, police, traffic management, and security, alongside fencing, toilets, lighting, water, and electricity.
The council have also been asked to coordinate 10 community groups to become food vendors and gold coin volunteers at the event.
The council is expected to confirm their support.
At Monday’s meeting, councillors will also decide whether to adopt and implement local township plans for Binalong Bay and Mathinna.
Key themes identified at the Binalong Bay drop-in sessions were the foreshore, parking and traffic, and commercial developments. About 50 members of the community took part in the sessions.
At he Mathinna drop-in sessions, the key themes were developing a history trail throughout the town, RV-friendly accreditation, and infrastructure within the town, such as bus shelters and picnic tables.
About 15 people participated in the Mathinna sessions.
Council officers reviewed the information and developed draft versions of the Binalong Bay and Mathinna Local Township Plans for 2018 to 2020.
The council will also discuss naming a currently unnamed road, a proposed mural for St Helens’ Portland Hall, a review of the tip shop, and the telecommunications review.
