The band has recently been featured on triple j’s Like a Version performing a cover of Mark Ronson’s Somebody To Love, which received more than 90,000 views online.

The duo has just came back from a tour around New Zealand and the United States and is currently in the middle of an Australia-wide tour.

Band member Miller Upchurch said he was looking forward to playing the gig at The Waratah on Saturday night. 

“Everyone in Tasmania who goes to gigs are absolute madmen/women,” he said.

“I always feel the most genuine excitement for the band from the people of Tasmania.”

Upchurch commented that half of his family originates from Tasmania, which was another reason why he enjoyed touring the state so much.

He said that Tasmania was growing in popularity as a destination for touring bands. 

The band is performing its new single Can’t Figure it Out, which Upchurch describes as a slow jam, with the drums reminding him of Umbrella by Rhianna.

“I know we haven’t lost the emotional and introspective lyrics we’ve become known for,” Upchurch said.
