Stallholders at a Launceston market will donate part of their profits to a good cause.

Almost 60 Tasmanian designers will hold stalls at the Starry Night Niche Market Bazaar, with each committing to donate 20 per cent of profits to StGiles.

Kara Lewis of Homespun Succulents and Marilyn Nichols and Florida Rickard of Meander Valley Felters said they were excited.

“I love being able to give,” Lewis said.

“It’s good that the customers know they’re not just buying a piece of my work, they’re also giving to such a beautiful cause.”

Market manager Victoria Bayes said the it would be a lovely evening, featuring a pianist on the hall’s grand piano, couches, club chairs, and a chandelier.

  • The market will be held on July 13 at Albert Hall from 2-7pm.
