A car caught fire after a two-vehicle crash at West Tamar on Monday.

The crash was reported by Tasmania Police about 9.30am and the road was closed for about an hour.
Senior constable Dean Purdy said a white Toyota Rav4 and a grey Toyota Yaris were both travelling north along the highway about 9.30am.

The Yaris slowed down to turn right into a driveway and the Rav4 attempted to overtake but instead it crashed into the back of the Yaris.
The 67-year-old passenger of the Rav4, a woman from Queensland, remained in the car until she was assessed by Ambulance Tasmania at the scene.
She was taken to the Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Rav4, a 48-year-old woman, also from Queensland, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the Yaris, a 76-year-old man from Hadspen, was uninjured in the crash.
Tasmania Fire Service, Tasmania Police and Ambulance Tasmania all attended the scene.
