Launceston sports memorabilia store Balls n Bumpers hosted the event, with excited Tigers fans lining the streets outside from 11am for the meet and greet.
AFL fan Liam Bates, 11, said it was exciting to meet one of his sporting heroes.
“It’s exciting because he’s the Richmond captain,” Liam said.
“It was really surprising when they won [the premiership] last year. It made me really happy.”
Cotchin led Richmond to win the premiership in 2017 after a 37-year drought for the club.
He is a Brownlow medalist, an member of the All-Australian Team, and a three-time Richmond best and fairest award winner.
