Minx Cabaret Company director Shelley Spencer said the show was now in its fifth year.
“I started it because it’s the style of performing I really love,” she said.
“And, there was none of that in Launceston.
“We have such a thriving arts scene that I thought we’d be supported.”
Ms Spencer said the performing in the show was a great “stepping stone” for young Tasmanian performers to gain stage experience in a professional environment.
The show will feature some of the best artists that Tasmania had to offer, as well as visiting guests.
Headliners for this year’s show include Matthew Garwood – the Tattooed Tenor, blues and roots artist Luke Parry, Gypsy Rose’s Trudy Barnes, and NSW professional vocalist Lisa Core Flanagan, and radio personality and comedian Dan Taylor, alongside a cast of about 20 performers.
Ms Spencer said Barnes in particular was excited to branch out.
“She’s very talented with other types of performance,” she said.
“She’ll be a very popular addition.”
Ms Spencer said people could expect a classy dinner show, with a lot of audience interaction.
“It’s a variety show. It’s for everybody,” Ms Spencer said.
“It’s pure entertainment that everybody will enjoy. It’s sure to impress audiences.”
