The Examiner and the Launceston Chamber of Commerce urge everyone to frock up for the cause.
The cocktail party will take place at Penny Royal from 6.30pm on August 10.
By July 3, exactly $30,004.40 had been raised by the Launceston community toward the appeal’s goal of $60,000.
The Examiner’s editor Courtney Greisbach said though getting over the halfway point was exciting, the support of the community was still needed until the appeal’s end.
“We would love to see the community’s support translate into the cocktail party, to both celebrate the generosity of the community, and to help those in need this winter,” she said.
“It’s a great opportunity for the community to come together.”
Tickets are available from Launceston Tickets or through the Launceston Chamber of Commerce on 6331 9364.
