The $1.15 million contract was announced on Thursday and will see an immediate five extra jobs at the Launceston-based company.
However, there are plans to more than double the total number of company employees in the next 12-18 months.

“We have already had one person down to drop their resume and we haven’t even drafted the ads yet,” Mr Cruse said.
“There are local people who need jobs in this area, so local would be good.”
Definium Technologies is the only place in Tasmania that develops and designs motherboards and circuits and Mr Cruse said he hoped his business would help to grow that industry in the state.
“One of my goals is that Definium becomes the catalyst for this kind of work in Tasmania but particularly in Launceston,” he said.
The first shipment will be sent in four weeks.
