The opening of the new clubhouse took place at 2pm on Sunday afternoon, with the building packed full of supporters excited the see the project finally complete.
Club president Alan Weeding said it was a “very important day” for the club.
Mr Weeding said the 2016 floods “really brought the rowing club to its knees”, but that being able to see this new building come to life was a “silver lining”.
“All club members really rallied in this time of need,” he said.
“Now we’re stronger and more determined.”
The new clubhouse is twice the height of its predecessor, and was specially designed for protection against future flood events.
Bass Liberal MHA Sarah Courtney said she was proud to help open the new clubhouse, and congratulated past president Jim Guy, Mr Weeding, and the team of volunteers who spent “hundreds of hours seeing this project through to fruition”.
