About midnight, police allege a man fired shots into Pablo’s Cocktails and Dreams in Harrington Street.
Despite a “small number” of people being inside at the time of the incident, no one was injured, Tasmania Police Detective Sergeant James Semmens said.
“After firing shots the man has then fled the scene on foot through the rear car park,” he said.
“Police attended and located a firearm nearby.”
Detective Sergeant Semmens said early investigations suggest the incident was not random and police are following a “particular line of inquiry”.
