The sustainable art show aims for fun catwalk fashions that are created out of recycled and reusable materials.
Interweave Arts director Kim Schneiders said the show aimed to emphasise the need for environmental sustainability.
“We’re trying to encourage people to recycle, and even reusing some parts of outfits,” she said.
“Because it’s wearable art, this year we’re looking for big and over-the-top.
“We have lots of things and materials that we dispose of, so [the aim is] to create an awareness and be mindful and try and collect and reuse those in a creative format.”
Ms Schneiders said the show is all-inclusive, welcoming those of all ages and abilities to participate.
“If someone has a work they want to do, we can incorporate it,” she said.
“If someone’s got a great idea we can fit it in.
“However, we do have some specific [themes] each year.”
The themes for this year’s show include the colour blue, waterways, and threatened species, alongside illumination, light, and sound.
“We’re looking at water and waterways because we think plastic in the water is a big issue,” Ms Schneiders said.
She said every year is different and “has its own flavour” due to the different interpretations in the entries.
Ms Schneiders said entries were welcome up until August 1.
Wearable art designers were needed, alongside models and other volunteers.
“You get a high from the participation,” she said.

Ms Schneiders said the show will take place at the Annex Theatre at Inveresk.
“It’s high production and it’s an amazing event that we’ve been running since 2011 as part of Streets Alive, so it’s one of our major yearly events,” she said.
The show will take place at 2pm and 7pm on August 25 at the Annexe Theatre at Inveresk.
Tickets will be available on the door.
