Hockey
Hobart’s Eddie Ockenden and Jeremy Edwards will be in the Kookaburras side competing in the Champions Trophy in the Netherlands.
The tournament is being held in the city of Breda with Australia’s first match against Belgium on Saturday.
Rowing
Tamar’s Ciona Wilson and Huon clubmates Georgia Nesbitt and Sarah Hawe will be competing in the world rowing cup in Linz, Austria, from Thursday.
Wilson and Hawe will be in separate Australian crews contesting the women’s four while Nesbitt will team-up with Georgia Miansarrow in the lightweight women’s double sculls.
Canoeing
Derwent duo Daniel Watkins and Kate Eckhardt will be competing in the International Canoe Federation slalom world cup 1 and 2.
World cup 1 kicks off on the Váh River in the Slovakian town of Liptovský Mikuláš on Friday with the second round to follow in Krakow, Poland, on June 29.
Athletics
Hobart javelin thrower Hamish Peacock flew to Europe this week.
The Commonwealth Games silver medallist will compete in several athletics meetings beginning in Madrid on Friday followed by the Finnish city of Joensuu on July 4 and Lucerne, Switzerland, on July 9.
Cycling
Hobart’s Nathan Earle is among the Israel Cycling Academy competing at the five-stage Adriatica Ionica race beginning in Musile di Piave in north-eastern Italy.
