When submissions closed last week, Glamorgan Spring Bay mayor Michael Kent told The Examiner about 200 representations were received.
However, the president of the newly formed East Coast Alliance, Anne Held, claims she personally hand delivered more than 300 submissions objecting the proposal to the council.
“We delivered, at quarter past one on the 13th of June, 314 individual paper representations to the Glamorgan Spring Bay Council, for which I have a receipt,” Ms Held said.
“A further 108 submissions were made electronically prior to the deadline at 5pm that day that were forwarded to the council.
“That’s a total of 421 individual representations that were submitted purely and simply through us.”

“Yes it could be more, it could also be less, but until they wade through it all …”
Submissions closed on Thursday, June 14.
