Organiser Jaqui Stacey said the event was extremely appreciated by the community, who thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment.
“Everyone kept coming up and saying ‘this is fantastic. It’s better than big staged events where people spend a lot of money,” she said.
“Because it’s home grown and all the community is involved in different ways, including the local performers and the artists, it just gives it more heart and feel to it.”
While she said numbers were “a bit” down on previous year’s events, the committee will discuss Winterfire’s future direction at a meeting next month.
All funds raised will be used in the community.
